| Personally, I would suggest getting lots of exercise (both cardio and weight training), trying not to overeat and keeping it healthy (while not depriving yourself), getting lots of water, and getting a good multivitamin (to supplement anything you are missing in your diet), green tea (tabs to get enough, but the a cup of tea is great, too), calcium (to keep your bones strong so that you can exercise), fish oil (for your good fats, especially if you don't eat a lot of fish), and maybe some Hoodia (to help curb your appetite and have less chance of overeating). I've never had much luck taking any of the crazy supplements out there and keeping any weight off. The best way to do it is to make it part of your lifestyle to become healthy (and believe that you can do it and are healthy!). That is just one girl's opinion |

| Junior Member | As I have posted earlier, a supplement is just that, a supplement to your fat loss or muscle gain efforts. It is a proven fact in bodybuilding that 97% of your gains will come from training, diet and rest cycles. The rest 3% may come from supplements. So why run after the remaining 3% of your fat loss component when you don't have major component under your control? You can opt for a good protein supplement like isolated whey protein and mix it milk, fresh fruit juice or even plain water after your workout sessions. You can use them also for late night snacks or morning breakfast. It's a fact that if you consume proteins without the added fats your body will burn fatty tissue to assimilate the proteins. But remember, exercise comes first, without exercise your body will not need extra protein for repair and regeneration of muscle tissue. |
